Wells Cathedral School is one of the premier music schools in the UK, where she attended with a full scholarship and specialist place to study under Head of Keyboard, Professor John Byrne. While studying at Wells she won the Concerto Competition with the Shostakovich Piano Concerto, working with conductors; Christopher Adey, Paul Denegrey and Dennis Simons.

Nurry's experience has led her to work alongside some of the greatest musicians, including the Harlem Quartet from the USA, Trio Apaches and Alina Ibragimova. As a soloist, Nurry has performed internationally and around the UK, with concerts in Europe, America, Asia and West Africa. She won the keyboard section of the Gregynog Young Musician of the Year, the RCM Concerto Competition and won first prize in many competitions including, Eistedford competition, Midsommer Festival, European Piano Teachers Association Competition, Rotary Competition, Longwell Green Competition. As a concert pianist, Nurry has to wear many hats, sometimes as a soloist, occasionally with an orchestra or best of all, with her ex-fellow students and now great friends, who perform as Trio Rouge.

During mid-July 2021, Nurry (piano), Sophie-Louise Phillips (violin) and Meera Priyanka Raja (cello) were given the opportunity to perform live on BBC Radio 3’s early evening programme - “In Tune” - with presenter Sean Rafferty.
